macadamia oil
Macadamia oil (Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil) - controlled organic cultivation
The evergreen macadamia tree with its extremely hard-shelled fruits is originally native to the rainforests of Australia. The 12 to 15 m tall deciduous tree belongs to the Proteaceae family. The special feature of the oil - in addition to the vitamins, flavonoids and antioxidants it contains - is its high content of around 20% palmitoleic acid. This valuable unsaturated fatty acid is similar in composition to the protective skin fat of the skin barrier. Palmitoleic acid stabilizes the skin barrier and improves the absorption of other oil-loving active ingredients into the skin. Macadamia is quickly absorbed deep into the skin without leaving any greasy residue.
Cold-pressed macadamia oil with its pleasant nutty scent tightens and regenerates the skin. It is non-comedogenic, so it does not clog pores. Macadamia oil has a protective, smoothing, regenerating and soothing effect on dry, mature, brittle, cracked and sensitive skin. Macadamia is also suitable for scars and sunburn. It softens the skin and gives it elasticity and suppleness.
