Lucuma extract (Pouteria Lucuma) - Controlled organic cultivation

Lucuma is a subtropical stone fruit from the South American Andes. The Lucuma tree, which can grow up to 20 m tall and on which the pear-shaped, bright yellow fruits grow, is very resistant to drought. Originally native to Peru, it also grows wild in Chile and Ecuador. The Incas already valued Lucuma as a remedy for treating slow-healing wounds.

Lucuma

Lucuma is characterized by an extremely high content of vital substances and antioxidants:

  • rich in cell-protecting carotenoids such as beta-carotene (converted in the body into skin-tightening vitamin A) and vitamin C
  • naturally high zinc content, effective against viruses and bacteria, essential for a good immune system and healthy skin without blemishes and pimples
  • contains a lot of vitamin B3 (niacin): stimulates collagen production, inhibits inflammation, reduces redness, regenerates skin damage, ensures firm and healthy skin

According to recent research, Lucuma also increases the skin's natural photoprotection through its carotenoids and helps to repair sun-damaged tissue. The high antioxidant content reduces blackheads and counteracts acne.
