Organic facial oils - plant-based sun protection & regeneration
Ultra-pure, cold-pressed organic facial oils – non-comedogenic, fragrance-free, and vegan. Protect, regenerate, and strengthen the skin barrier – ideal for sensitive, blemished, or mature skin.
Valuable effects of facial oils
Facial oils have proven to be effective, highly pure active ingredients suitable for all skin types and possess not only cosmetic but also, in some cases, medically proven healing properties. Applied to the outermost layer of the skin, they strengthen the natural hydrolipid mantle and thus protect the skin's flora from harmful environmental influences and moisture loss.
Myrto facial oils, which reduce the formation of wrinkles and restructure the skin barrier, go beyond mere care: They strengthen the immune system, combat inflammation, accelerate wound healing, and have antibacterial properties. Special facial oils are also ideal for skin types prone to blemishes – without leaving a greasy shine or clogging pores.
Drying and non-drying facial oils: The key lies in the fatty acid structure
The effectiveness of a facial oil depends largely on the fatty acid composition of the plant oils. Oils with a high content of polyunsaturated fatty acids, such as argan, grape seed, safflower, or hemp oil, are quickly absorbed by the skin and leave no greasy residue. These "drying oils" are suitable for combination skin and sensitive, blemished skin, as well as for the regeneration of dry and mature skin.
Non-drying oils, on the other hand, contain saturated fatty acids, form a protective layer on the skin that locks in moisture and leaves it feeling soft and smooth. These are particularly suitable for dry and mature skin. Examples include olive oil, macadamia oil, or coconut oil – however, they are less recommended for oily skin, as they have a potentially comedogenic effect and can clog pores.
Antioxidants: Plant power for skin health
One of the key benefits of facial oils is their content of antioxidant-active secondary plant compounds. These include polyphenols such as flavonoids, which have anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and antiviral effects, as well as phytosterols, which strengthen the skin barrier and reduce moisture loss. Other important groups are carotenoids such as beta-carotene, which stimulate the skin's immune system, and triterpene alcohols, which counteract oxidative collagen degradation.
Myrto facial oils combine these bioactive ingredients, individually tailored to each skin type, to achieve a synergistic effect. Our cold-pressed seed oils and CO2 plant extracts are non-comedogenic and have a skin-like lipid structure, allowing them to be quickly absorbed into the skin and strengthening the protective skin barrier.
Skin type-appropriate care with myrto facial oils
Depending on skin needs and type, myrto facial oils based on organic argan, organic jojoba and organic grape seed oil are suitable for the following skin types:
- Sensitive skin prone to irritation
- Sensitive combination skin prone to blemishes
- Dry and mature skin with a weakened skin barrier
Versatile applications
The myrto facial oils can be flexibly integrated into your skincare routine:
- As an alternative to face cream: Apply directly to damp skin after cleansing.
- With water or toner: Mix oil with a few drops of water, toner or hydrosol and apply to dry skin.
- In combination with the day cream: Especially in winter, enrich the day cream with a few drops of oil for intensive immediate relief.
- Using the layering principle: Especially for dry skin, gently massage in the facial oil after cleansing, toner, serum and over the facial cream as the last layer.
Just a few drops are enough to provide intensive care for your face, neck, and décolleté. Generally speaking, it's better to apply more often than to use too much at once.
