Natural effectiveness of myrto organic deodorants
The myrto organic deodorants offer effective protection against body odor - without any harmful aluminum. Instead of relying on aluminum salts, we use a plant-based active ingredient combination of fermented sugar cane, lactic acid and citric acid esters. This natural deodorant complex gently reduces sweat production without clogging the pores, as is the case with deodorants containing aluminum. The use of triethyl citrate, a citric acid ester, lowers the pH value of the underarm skin. This inhibits the activity of certain bacteria that break down sweat and thereby cause unpleasant odors. Thanks to clinically tested long-term effects, odor-causing bacteria are effectively kept in check.
Gentle and nourishing ingredients
Every myrto organic deodorant contains antibacterial sage oil, which has an anti-inflammatory effect and contracts the pores of the sweat glands. Aloe vera gel provides moisture and relieves irritation, while organic jojoba and coconut oil have a moisturizing effect and keep the skin supple. Beta-glucan from oats also supports the skin's natural protective barrier, ideal for sensitive and irritated skin.
The vegan formula of myrto deodorants does not contain alcohol, preservatives or emulsifiers, which means our deodorants are gentle on the skin even after shaving.
Benefits of switching to organic deodorants
In contrast to conventional antiperspirants, which suppress natural sweating by blocking the sweat glands, organic deodorants prevent odor without affecting the skin's function. A good organic deodorant does not aim to completely reduce sweat, but rather to neutralize odor-causing bacteria. Natural deodorants do not contain synthetic fragrances, preservatives such as triclosan or parabens, silicones that seal the skin, alcohol with problematic denaturants or PEG emulsifiers that allow harmful substances to penetrate the skin.
The Problem of Aluminum in Deodorants
Deodorants containing aluminum clog the sweat gland pores in order to suppress the body's own cooling mechanism, which is particularly important for temperature regulation and detoxification. Aluminum can cause irritation and allergic reactions, especially in sensitive skin. In the long term, the metal is considered neurotoxic. Health risks such as possible connections between aluminum intake and diseases such as breast cancer or Alzheimer's are also still being discussed. Since aluminum is particularly easily absorbed through injured or irritated skin, caution is advised, especially after shaving the armpits.
Things to Know About Switching to Organic Deodorants
When switching to a natural organic deodorant, the skin may need a period of adjustment. During this phase, the body detoxifies more intensively via the sweat glands, which can mean that the new deodorant's full effect only becomes apparent after a few weeks. The individual skin flora also plays a role, so the most suitable organic deodorant can vary from person to person.
