Magnolia bark (Magnolia Officinalis Bark Extract) - wild collection
In Far Eastern medicine, magnolia bark has been highly valued as a skin-soothing remedy for over 2000 years. The CO2 extract we use from the bark of the magnolia tree contains the two main active ingredients magnolol and honokiol.
They have an antimicrobial effect and inhibit inflammation-related skin aging (inflamm-aging). Magnolia bark relieves itching, swelling and acne. It soothes irritated skin, prevents pimples and blackheads and ensures a more even complexion. Magnolia bark has the ability to neutralize cell-damaging free radicals that are caused by UV radiation, for example, and cause the skin to age prematurely.
