Magnolia bark (INCI: Magnolia Officinalis Bark Extract ) is a highly effective plant extract with a long tradition in Far Eastern medicine. The extract's anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and antioxidant properties are particularly valued in natural cosmetics. The bioactive substances magnolol and honokiol it contains are effective against free radicals, pimples, and inflammaging—premature skin aging caused by chronic, silent inflammation.
Origin & Production
The magnolia tree is native to China, Korea, and Japan. The bark of the magnolia tree is traditionally harvested from wild trees in a sustainable manner. The active ingredient used in our natural cosmetics is extracted using a particularly gentle CO₂ extraction process . This environmentally friendly process delivers a highly pure, concentrated extract rich in magnolol and honokiol – without solvent residues.
