Natural beauty that smells
100% natural purity
In order to ensure the best possible skin compatibility, we avoid all ingredients that could irritate sensitive skin. Experience has shown that alcohol dries out the skin - even in low concentrations on sensitive skin. Alcohol penetrates the protective barrier layer of the skin and dissolves the structure of the skin's own lipids (fats). Many natural cosmetics companies use the preservative properties of alcohol and use 15% alcohol or more in their recipes to extend the shelf life of their products. Another problem with the use of alcohol is the usual denaturants in cosmetic alcohol - declared on the label as "alcohol denat." These additives are known to be skin irritants and potentially allergenic.

All myrto products do not contain the usual emulsifiers. Emulsifiers - in natural cosmetics mostly based on palm oil - combine water- and oil-containing components of a cream. However, classic emulsifiers have the unpleasant side effect of dissolving and washing out the skin's own protective substances from the top layer of skin. Our innovative emulsifier-free plant fiber concept ensures that the protective skin barrier of the sensitive facial skin is maintained. This allows the skin to bind more moisture and sustainably and also protect itself from harmful external environmental influences. The emulsifier-free myrto plant fiber concept supports the natural balance of skin functions for a smooth, soft and well-nourished complexion without blemishes.

Sustainable fragrance composition
Our fragrances emphasize the natural individuality of each wearer, without the strong, synthetic smell of conventional perfumes, which often remains unchanged for hours. Natural perfumes develop on the skin in a lively, natural progression that balances top, middle and base notes and fades away gently after a few hours. The decision for a shorter shelf life in favor of authentic fragrance development not only supports the environment, but also brings a pleasant, natural expression to the fragrance experience. This creates an inspiring moment in which the fragrance note unfolds individually and in an organic way.
Sensual & natural
Individuality with pure essential oils
Why natural perfume?
A high-quality perfume as a personal fragrance emphasizes one's individuality. It translates memories and emotions into scents that unfold and evolve on the skin. With our exclusive unisex natural perfumes, we counterbalance the usual scents from the chemical lab and transport the senses to the heart of nature.
When it comes to a personal gift, high-quality perfumes are a popular classic. However, choosing the right scent isn't always easy—even if you know the person and their individual preferences very well. Simply testing a fragrance on your own skin or on a test strip in a perfume shop isn't enough. The most important thing to consider beforehand is whether to opt for synthetic fragrances or a natural perfume made from precious raw materials without unnecessary additives. This also includes knowing about the health-critical ingredients in conventional perfumes and understanding the different fragrance concepts. The perfume should always fit the lifestyle of the recipient.
What characterizes conventional perfumes?
Conventional perfumes, as we know them today, consist of purely synthetic fragrances, industrially produced from petrochemical raw materials. There are now approximately 3,000 synthetic individual aromas, compared to only about 240 different fragrances made from truly pure natural essential oils. Popular novelty fragrances for which there are no natural essential oils can be easily created synthetically: among them lily of the valley, lilac and violet blossoms, apple, fig, pear, and peach.
Artificial fragrances are cheap to produce, yet their scent profile is bland and consistent. Synthetic scents usually linger on the skin for days, making them almost impossible to remove.
Why are conventional perfumes questionable?
Conventional perfumes are increasingly criticized for their harmful side effects on health and the environment:
- Artificial fragrances can trigger increased allergies.
- They are absorbed into the body through the skin, accumulate in the subcutaneous fat tissue of the organism and cannot be broken down by the body.
- Synthetic flavors are biopersistent, meaning they accumulate in the environment. Even in sewage treatment plants, they cannot be filtered out and can be detected in rivers, lakes, and oceans even after many decades.
- Harmful ingredients: These include, for example, polycyclic musk compounds. They are used as artificial fragrance fixatives and are suspected of promoting cancer. Hormonally active ingredients such as phthalates serve as fragrance stabilizers, preservatives such as BHT, hormone-like UV filters such as benzophenone-3, and synthetic dyes proven to promote allergy complement the list of harmful substances in conventional perfumes. Hormonally active substances are linked to health risks such as reduced sperm quality, testicular cancer, and breast cancer.
What characterizes natural perfume?
In contrast to synthetic fragrances, natural perfumes have a multifaceted depth composed of hundreds of individual scent molecules. Rose oil, for example, contains more than 300 individual substances that are combined into a natural fragrance blend. Essential oils can smell slightly different depending on the harvest and region of origin – just as everything living in nature is unpredictably changeable. They accentuate the skin's natural scent rather than masking it like synthetic fragrances.

The extraction of essential plant essences is complex, costly, and requires considerable manual labor. The quality of these natural substances is subject to the specific characteristics of the region, with its microclimate and annual fluctuations, the specific composition of the soil, and even the surrounding vegetation. Unlike the always consistent, flat, chemically produced fragrances, a natural perfume contains the concentrated life force of a plant in all its facets, making it always unique.
Myrto's organic perfume creations draw on the millennia-old art of perfumery from pure natural ingredients. Using the most precious essential oils from around the world, they create a connection to the modern age. The sensitively composed formulas strive for optimized skin compatibility, providing a counterbalance to the growing number of synthetically produced additives and fillers.
We carefully and lovingly handcraft each myrto natural perfume in our own factory – far removed from industrial mass production. The essential essences are sourced from organic farming or controlled wild harvesting. The base is undenatured organic alcohol (pure spirit) and hydrosols from controlled organic farming.
100 percent natural fragrance - what does that mean?
We develop inspiring fragrance creations with authentic charisma, characterized by a vibrant, complex, and nuanced scent. The luxurious myrto perfumes contain only pure essential oils, floral waters or hydrolates, and undenatured alcohol—all from certified organic cultivation and without any synthetic additives.
The essential oils are extracted directly from the various components of the parent plant. These can be flowers or leaves, but also wood, fruits, resins, or roots of a plant. The essential oils we use are carefully produced by hand using traditional steam distillation or cold pressing – far removed from intensive agriculture that uses fertilizers, pesticides, and genetic engineering.
What effect do natural fragrances have on the body and psyche?
Essential essences carry a plant's vital energy and essential information. Numerous studies demonstrate their therapeutic benefits. They have a health-promoting effect on the body and mind. They are a central component of myrto natural perfume.
Essential oils also form the core of aromatherapy. They not only smell pleasant, but have been proven to have effects on both physical and psychological levels. Essential oils enter our bodies through the respiratory tract and skin. They help with a variety of health problems and illnesses.
Essential essences can, among other things, brighten the mood, stimulate sensuality, calm or promote concentration.
On a physical level, they can fight bacteria, have anti-inflammatory, and pain-relieving effects. Clinical studies have confirmed that they have proven therapeutic benefits, particularly for stomach pain, headaches, anxiety, and stress.

What is the basis of our natural perfumes?
The basis of myrto natural perfumes is organic alcohol – without the usual denaturants – combined with hydrosols from organic farming. Pure alcohol intensifies the fragrance of a perfume, making it more easily absorbed by the skin. It acts as a solvent for the natural fragrances. The evaporation of the alcohol ensures that the natural scent is released into the ambient air. The heart, top, and base notes of a fragrance only fully develop after the alcohol has evaporated.
Hydrosols, or herbal waters, are created through the steam distillation of essential oils. Their active ingredients are similar to the essential oils themselves, but they have a slightly different molecular structure and a much gentler effect. Hydrosols are therefore ideal for sensitive individuals, children, and pregnant women.
Some ingredients in hydrosols have effects that essential oils lack. Conversely, essential oils contain active ingredients that aren't found in hydrosols. This makes hydrosols the ideal link between alcohol and essential oils in a natural perfume.
What is the structure of myrto fragrance creations?
Our myrto natural perfumes contain 15% of the most precious, pure essential oils with a pure radiance. The structure and progression of these seductive fragrances is determined by the so-called fragrance pyramid. This ensures that the fragrance gradually unfolds its inspiring effect and remains perceptible for as long as possible. The fragrance pyramid consists of three components: top note, heart note, and base note.
The top note of a fragrance is the opening note and lasts for approximately 20 minutes. It consists primarily of citrus oils such as orange, grapefruit, bergamot, or petitgrain mandarin.
After about 15 minutes, the heart note of a natural perfume begins to dominate the fragrance. Typical heart notes include rose, myrtle, ylang-ylang, neroli, coriander, or Mediterranean herbs, which develop their characteristic scent for about an hour.
The base note of a perfume gradually displaces the heart note. It remains perceptible for several hours. Essential oils such as patchouli, sandalwood, vanilla, or vetiver are used as base notes. They give a perfume its multifaceted depth, complexity, and longevity.
Are myrto perfumes unisex fragrances?
All myrto organic perfumes emphasize individuality and are unisex fragrances, making them equally suitable as favorite scents for men and women. They are ideally suited to an environmentally conscious, organic lifestyle. This applies not only to the fruity-floral BASIL BLOSSOM with its slightly peppery note, but also to the mystical ARABESQUE with sensual ylang-ylang and spicy coriander. The woody-earthy GIZEH, with woody-balsamic accords of vetiver and frankincense, is particularly intense and long-lasting. It has a more masculine touch.
How long do natural perfumes last on the skin?
Essential oils don't have the same longevity as artificial fragrances. They usually fade after a few hours, although individual base notes may linger longer. In general, crisp, fresh natural fragrances dominated by citrus notes last less time on the skin than woody, balsamic or oriental fragrances with spicy notes. These are more likely to be characterized by dominant base notes.

Those who love natural things don't see the shorter shelf life of natural perfume as a disadvantage and prefer to wear it more often than masking their own body odor with synthetic fragrances. This transforms perfumes into living, changing compositions that unfold individually and differently for each person. To extend the shelf life of your natural perfume, you shouldn't rub it onto your skin, as this could destroy the delicate fragrance molecules. Perfume is traditionally applied behind the earlobes or on the inside of the wrists. Incidentally, it lasts particularly well on the hair. There, the fragrance develops gradually but lasts particularly long.
How can I find out which myrto fragrance suits me?
Choosing your personal favorite fragrance is often challenging, especially since natural fragrances combine very individually with the skin's own scent molecules. Our small perfumes in the practical 5ml travel size are helpful when selecting a fragrance composition. They allow you to try each perfume thoroughly and in the comfort of your own home.
