In order to ensure the best possible skin compatibility, we avoid all ingredients that could irritate sensitive skin. Experience has shown that alcohol dries out the skin - even in low concentrations on sensitive skin. Alcohol penetrates the protective barrier layer of the skin and dissolves the structure of the skin's own lipids (fats). Many natural cosmetics companies use the preservative properties of alcohol and use 15% alcohol or more in their recipes to extend the shelf life of their products. Another problem with the use of alcohol is the usual denaturants in cosmetic alcohol - declared on the label as "alcohol denat." These additives are known to be skin irritants and potentially allergenic.

All myrto products do not contain the usual emulsifiers. Emulsifiers - in natural cosmetics mostly based on palm oil - combine water- and oil-containing components of a cream. However, classic emulsifiers have the unpleasant side effect of dissolving and washing out the skin's own protective substances from the top layer of skin. Our innovative emulsifier-free plant fiber concept ensures that the protective skin barrier of the sensitive facial skin is maintained. This allows the skin to bind more moisture and sustainably and also protect itself from harmful external environmental influences. The emulsifier-free myrto plant fiber concept supports the natural balance of skin functions for a smooth, soft and well-nourished complexion without blemishes.

Sustainable fragrance composition
Our fragrances emphasize the natural individuality of each wearer, without the strong, synthetic smell of conventional perfumes, which often remains unchanged for hours. Natural perfumes develop on the skin in a lively, natural progression that balances top, middle and base notes and fades away gently after a few hours. The decision for a shorter shelf life in favor of authentic fragrance development not only supports the environment, but also brings a pleasant, natural expression to the fragrance experience. This creates an inspiring moment in which the fragrance note unfolds individually and in an organic way.
Sensual & natural
Individuality with pure natural essential oils
Why natural perfume?
A high-quality perfume as a personal scent underlines your own individuality. It translates memories and emotions into scents that unfold and develop on the skin. With our exclusive unisex natural perfumes, we provide a counterbalance to the usual scents from the chemical laboratory and transport the senses into the heart of nature.
When it comes to a personal gift, high-quality perfumes are a popular classic. However, it is not easy to choose the right fragrance - even if you know a person and their individual preferences very well. It is not enough to try out a fragrance in the perfumery on your own skin or on a test strip. The important question beforehand is whether you want to choose synthetic fragrances or a natural perfume made from fine raw materials without unnecessary additives. This also includes knowing about the health-critical ingredients in conventional perfumes and knowing the different fragrance concepts. The perfume should always suit the lifestyle of the recipient.
What characterizes conventional perfumes?
Conventional perfumes, as we know them today, consist of purely synthetic fragrances that are manufactured industrially from petrochemical raw materials. There are now around 3,000 synthetic individual aromas, but only around 240 different fragrances made from truly natural essential oils. Popular new fragrances for which there are no natural essential oils can be created synthetically without any problems: lily of the valley, lilac and violet blossoms, apple, fig, pear and peach, among others.
Artificial flavors are cheap to produce, and their scent profile is flat and consistent. Synthetic fragrances usually stay on the skin for days and are almost impossible to get rid of.
Why are conventional perfumes questionable?
Conventional perfumes are increasingly being criticized for their harmful side effects on health and the environment:
- Artificial fragrances can trigger increased allergies.
- They are absorbed into the body through the skin, accumulate in the subcutaneous fat tissue of the organism and cannot be broken down by the body.
- Synthetic flavors are biopersistent, which means they accumulate in the environment. They cannot be filtered out even in sewage treatment plants and can still be detected in rivers, lakes and seas after many decades.
- Ingredients that are harmful to health: These include, for example, polycyclic musk compounds. They are used as artificial fragrance fixators and are suspected of promoting cancer. Hormonally active ingredients such as phthalates serve as fragrance stabilizers, preservatives such as BHT, hormone-like UV filters such as benzophenone-3 or synthetic dyes that have been proven to promote allergies complete the list of harmful substances in conventional perfumes. Hormonally active substances are linked to health risks such as reduced sperm quality, testicular and breast cancer.
What characterizes natural perfume?
In contrast to synthetic fragrances, natural perfumes have a multi-layered depth made up of hundreds of individual fragrance molecules. For example, rose oil contains more than 300 individual substances that are combined into a natural fragrance mixture. Essential oils can smell slightly different depending on the harvest and region of origin - just as everything living in nature is unpredictably changeable. They accentuate the natural scent of the skin instead of covering it up like synthetic fragrances do.
The extraction of essential plant essences is complex, expensive and requires a lot of manual work. The quality of the natural substances is subject to the particularities of the region with its microclimate and its annual fluctuations, the special nature of the soil or the neighboring vegetation. Unlike the always consistent, flat, chemically produced fragrances, a natural perfume contains the collected life force of a plant in all its facets, and is therefore always "unique".
The myrto organic perfume creations are based on the millennia-old art of perfume production from pure natural substances. Using the most precious essential oils from all over the world, they create a connection to modern times. The sensitively composed recipes aim for optimized skin compatibility. They form a counterbalance to the growing number of synthetically produced additives and fillers.
We produce each myrto natural perfume carefully and lovingly by hand in our own factory – far from industrial mass production. The essential essences come from organic cultivation or from controlled wild collection. The basis is undenatured organic alcohol (pure wine spirit) and hydrolates from controlled organic cultivation.
100 percent natural fragrance - what does that mean?
We develop inspiring fragrance creations with an authentic charisma that are characterized by a lively, complex and nuanced scent. The luxurious myrto perfumes contain only natural essential oils, floral waters or hydrolates and undenatured alcohol - all from certified organic cultivation and without any synthetic additives.
The essential essences are extracted directly from the various components of the parent plant. These can be flowers or leaves, but also wood, fruit, resins or roots of a plant. The essential essences we use are produced with a lot of manual work and in a particularly gentle way using traditional steam distillation or cold pressing - far away from intensive agriculture, which uses fertilizers, pesticides and genetic engineering.
What effect do natural fragrances have on the body and psyche?
Essential essences carry the living energy and essential information of a plant. Numerous studies prove their therapeutic benefits. They have a health-promoting effect on the body and psyche. They are a central component of the myrto natural perfume.
Essential oils are also the focus of aromatherapy. They not only smell good, but have been proven to have an effect on both the physical and psychological levels. Essential oils enter our bodies via the respiratory tract and the skin. They help against a wide range of health problems and illnesses.
Essential oils can, among other things, brighten the mood, stimulate sensuality, calm down or promote concentration.
On a physical level, they can fight bacteria, have anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving effects. They have proven therapeutic benefits, particularly for stomach aches, headaches, anxiety or stress, as clinical studies have confirmed.
What is the basis of our natural perfumes?
The basis of myrto natural perfumes is organic alcohol - without the usual denaturants - in combination with hydrolates from organic cultivation. Pure alcohol intensifies the scent of a perfume so that it can be better absorbed by the skin. It acts as a solvent for the natural fragrances. The evaporation of the alcohol ensures that the natural scent is released into the surrounding air. The heart, top and base notes of a fragrance only really develop after the alcohol has evaporated.
Hydrolates or plant waters are created by steam distillation of essential oils. Their effect profiles are similar to the respective essential essences, but they have a slightly different molecular structure and are much gentler. Hydrolates are therefore ideal for sensitive people, children and pregnant women.
Some of the ingredients in hydrolates have effects that essential oils do not have. The opposite is true - essential oils have active ingredients that are not found in hydrolates. This makes hydrolates the ideal link between alcohol and essential oils in a natural perfume.
What is the structure of myrto fragrance creations?
Our myrto natural perfumes contain 15% of the most precious, pure, natural essential essences with an unadulterated aura. The structure and progression of the seductive scents is determined by the so-called fragrance pyramid. It ensures that the fragrance gradually unfolds its inspiring effect and can be perceived for as long as possible. The fragrance pyramid consists of the 3 components top note, heart note and base note.
The top note of a fragrance is the opening note and lasts for about 20 minutes. It consists mainly of citrus oils such as orange, grapefruit, bergamot or petitgrain mandarin.
After about 15 minutes, the heart note of a natural perfume dominates the scent. Typical heart notes are rose, myrtle, ylang-ylang, neroli, coriander or Mediterranean herbs, which develop their characteristic scent for about an hour.
The base note of a perfume gradually displaces the heart note. It remains perceptible for several hours. Essential oils such as patchouli, sandalwood, vanilla or vetiver are used as base notes. They give a perfume its multi-layered depth, complexity and durability.
Are the myrto perfumes unisex fragrances?
All myrto organic perfumes emphasize individuality and are unisex fragrances, meaning they are equally suitable as favorite fragrances for men and women. They are ideal for an environmentally conscious, organically oriented lifestyle. This applies not only to the fruity-floral BASIL BLOSSOM with a slightly peppery note, but also to the mystical ARABESQUE with sensual ylang-ylang and spicy coriander. The woody-earthy GIZEH with woody-balsamic chords of vetiver and frankincense is particularly intense and long-lasting. It has a more masculine touch.
How long do natural perfumes last on the skin?
Essential oils do not last as long as artificial fragrances. They usually wear off after a few hours, even if individual base notes can be perceived for longer. In principle, tangy, fresh natural fragrances, in which citrus notes dominate, last less time on the skin than woody, balsamic or oriental fragrances with spicy notes. These are more characterized by dominant base notes.
Those who love natural things don't see the shorter shelf life of natural perfume as a disadvantage and prefer to apply perfume more often than to cover up their own body odor with synthetic aromas. This makes perfumes live again as living, changing compositions that develop individually and differently for each person. To extend the shelf life of your natural perfume, you shouldn't rub it on your skin, otherwise you could destroy the delicate scent molecules. Perfume is traditionally applied behind the earlobes or on the inside of the wrists. Incidentally, it lasts particularly well on the hair. The scent develops gradually there, but lasts a particularly long time.
How can I find out which myrto fragrance suits me?
Choosing your personal favorite fragrance is often not easy, especially since natural fragrances combine very individually with the skin's own scent molecules. Our small perfume sizes in the practical 5ml travel size are helpful when choosing a fragrance composition. They give you the opportunity to try out each perfume extensively and in peace at home beforehand.
