About Us
Eva Silvana was a high school teacher before she faced completely new, unexpected challenges as a mother of 6 children. The many different skin problems her children had as babies and toddlers could not be managed at all with conventional care products. Eva also noticed that conventional creams required more and more frequent reapplication and still dried out the skin. So, with a lot of love, empathy and the purest ingredients from nature, she began to produce her own healing creams without skin-weakening fillers and additives. The increasing and lasting success of these irritation-free, highly effective formulations, based on her expertise and passion for medicinal plants, encouraged Eva, after more than 20 years of experience, to develop an innovative vegan natural cosmetics line with now over 70 products for hypersensitive and problematic skin.
In 2013, Eva founded the myrto natural cosmetics manufactory together with Prof. Dr. Peter Kruck. As the former head of environmental informatics at a DAX group, Peter uses his experience to support the development of the company, which was renamed Institut für Naturkosmetik Prof. Kruck GmbH & Co. KG on January 1, 2022. His commitment concerns the development of professional structures in the areas of IT, technology and organization. In particular, he enabled the efficient development of innovative natural cosmetics recipes in order to be able to reliably provide our customers with first-class products. He attaches great importance to the design of the processes and the greatest possible reproducibility of the results. This ensures that all myrto products have a consistent premium quality for our customers. As an owner-managed family business, we are actively supported by our 6 children, who are involved in IT, photography and design.
Our motivation
Premium natural cosmetics with first-class, natural ingredients cannot be mass-produced. That is why we always produce our myrto natural cosmetics fresh in small batches in our own factory. We reject the use of semi-finished products that are otherwise common for quality reasons. Instead, our heart project is developed by us from the idea to the finished product and produced with a lot of careful handwork. This allows us to keep an eye on all processes and ensure sustainability and consistently high quality.
All of our ingredients comply with the various quality seals for certified natural cosmetics. Each individual raw material with an INCI name is assigned an independent rating in our glossary, which was taken from the www.codecheck.info database. All myrto products have the 100% green ring from Codecheck. In addition, all of the ingredients in our products have been given top marks according to the Ökotest criteria.
Transparency & Sustainability
Our facial care is 100% vegan, free from alcohol, skin-weakening emulsifiers, preservatives and fragrances. Our natural cosmetics strengthen the skin's natural protective layer and contain a minimal number of natural, purely vegan ingredients. We attach great importance to environmental compatibility and complete transparency.
The focus of our work is ethical, social and sustainable action for the environment and people. In this sense, we support women's cooperatives in Brazil, Burkina Faso and Morocco, for example.
We fill as many of our products as possible in glass bottles and glass jars. One exception are the face creams, which are particularly sensitive to microbes, which we fill in recycled PP airless dispensers. All packaging is made in Germany and Austria. Our suppliers are preferably small companies and come from the region.
Environmentally friendly grass paper is used in our recycled shipping boxes with plastic-free padding material: only 2 liters of water are needed for one ton of grass paper, whereas 6,000 liters are needed for normal paper. In our factory, we rely 100% on renewable energy, reduce our paper consumption as much as possible and consistently avoid unnecessary packaging.
Award from the Federal Ministry of Education and Research
In 2024, myrto Naturkosmetik was awarded a prize by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) in cooperation with the Biological-Medical Research Center (BMFS) for our groundbreaking research work in the field of natural cosmetics without emulsifiers!
The focus of our award-winning project was the development of a new generation of natural cosmetic products that completely eliminate traditional emulsifiers. Our goal: maximum skin compatibility, stability, and long-term support of a healthy skin microbiome.

Handmade natural cosmetics from our factory
All myrto products are carefully handcrafted in our in-house factory – from development and production to bottling and labeling. Each product is crafted with the utmost precision and attention to detail to ensure the purity and effectiveness of our organic-certified natural cosmetics (Codecheck).
Product photography is also done in our own studio, ensuring we can present every detail authentically and genuinely. This independent, sustainable production allows us to deliver uncompromising quality – for sensitive skin and the highest standards.
