Aloe Vera Gel ( Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice) - Certified Organic

Aloe Vera (Aloe Barbadensis), originally from Mexico, is a member of the desert-hardy lily family and was revered as a sacred plant by the Indians of Central America because of its healing powers. It thrives in both wild and cultivated forms, particularly in subtropical and dry regions. Organically grown aloe vera plants grow much more slowly than conventionally grown ones. They receive neither additional irrigation nor artificial fertilizers, and are harvested and peeled by hand. The plant juice obtained from the "empress of medicinal plants" contains more than 500 different known active ingredients, including vitamins (A, C and E), minerals (calcium, magnesium, potassium, zinc), enzymes, amino acids, saponins (carbohydrates with a cleansing and anti-inflammatory effect) and a high proportion of the polysaccharide acemannan, which strengthens the immune system's defense against cell damage. The aloe vera juice that we use instead of water in many myrto products comes from controlled organic cultivation in Mexico.

Aloe vera gel has been proven to reduce itching, have anti-inflammatory, moisturizing and skin-regenerating effects. Thanks to its anti-oxidative properties, aloe vera acts as a radical scavenger against harmful environmental influences and light-induced skin aging. Aloe vera stimulates the production of the skin's own collagen, and it helps against impure skin, eczema and acne. Problematic, sensitive and irritated skin or even psoriasis often benefit particularly from care products based on aloe vera gel.
