Amaranth seed extract (Amaranthus Caudatus Seed Extract) - controlled organic cultivation

Amaranth seed extract is one of the few plant sources that contains squalene. Squalene is an essential component of the skin's own hydrolipid film (NMF = Natural Moisturizing Factor). It is therefore extremely well absorbed by the skin. Squalene significantly improves the elasticity and suppleness of the skin and reduces small wrinkles. With its antioxidant properties, it protects the skin against the damaging effects of free radicals. Squalene is particularly recommended for psoriasis and atopic eczema/neurodermatitis due to its anti-inflammatory effect .

We use organic amaranth seed extract from CO2 extraction. This method is particularly gentle, complex and expensive. It allows the small oil content of the amaranth seeds of only around 5 to 6% to be extracted in incomparable quality, so that all valuable ingredients are preserved in highly concentrated purity.
