Alcohol - Organic alcohol, pure undenatured wine spirit

Alcohol has a cooling, disinfecting and antimicrobial effect. In higher concentrations, alcohol dries out the skin and should therefore only be used for its disinfecting effect. Organic alcohol is obtained by fermentation from grain or other starchy or sugary plants. Alcohol with denaturants (alcohol denat. or ethanol) is usually used in cosmetics. One problem - according to the EU Cosmetics Regulation - is the denaturants that do not have to be declared. They lead to increased dry skin with redness, eczema and can cause allergies. Denaturants are also suspected of damaging the genetic material (reprotoxic) and of disrupting our hormonal system ( endocrine disruptor) .

In the myrto hygiene hand spray we use organic alcohol (alcohol) in a concentration of over 72%, in the myrto organic finisher hair care sprays we use less than 3% organic alcohol to improve the absorption properties. The alcohol does not leave any allergenic residues on the skin.
