shelf life of myrto products
How long can myrto products be stored?
The shelf life of our myrto products is indicated as the best-before date (BBD) on the label and refers to storage at room temperature - as cool, dry and not exposed to direct sunlight as possible. Most myrto products are packaged in light-protected brown glass bottles. Some particularly sensitive creams are packaged in airless dispensers to ensure the greatest possible protection against contamination or leakage. Direct sunlight, moisture and high temperatures can affect the effectiveness and stability of the products. Check the shelf life of your cosmetic products regularly - especially if you notice noticeable changes in smell, color or consistency or if the best-before date has passed.
Regular and ongoing freshly produced batches in small quantities and fast shipping ensure the greatest possible freshness of your ordered myrto products. To ensure the best possible effectiveness of the natural raw materials, opened dispensers should be used within six months. If the products are exposed to strong temperature fluctuations for a short period of time, this can change their viscosity and texture and possibly lead to separation; however, the quality is not affected. The consistency of the products can be restored by shaking and/or cooling them. The products should not be exposed to direct sunlight and/or strong heat for a longer period of time, as their freshness can be impaired by increased possible oxidation.
How should myrto products be stored?
For optimal storage, we recommend a cool, dry environment without direct sunlight - ideally at temperatures between 15 and 25 °C. If you do not want to use a product for a longer period of time, you can also store it in the refrigerator. This way, the valuable ingredients are preserved as best as possible.
Don't worry, the cold has no negative impact on the quality of your myto products. Short-term low temperatures, such as those that can occur during shipping in winter, and short-term higher temperatures in summer do not change the effectiveness or shelf life. If a texture has temporarily become firmer, it is sufficient to allow the product to acclimatize at room temperature.
