almond oil
Almond oil (Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis Oil) - controlled organic cultivation
The almond tree belongs to the rose family. In addition to the rose, it is also related to apricots, cherries and peaches. The frost-sensitive tree grows up to 8 metres tall and has a characteristic grey bark. It comes from Central Asia and today grows mainly in the Mediterranean region. In the Mediterranean regions, the almond tree produces its pink flowers with yellow stamens as early as January. The solid almond kernel, which is the seed of the plant, is covered in a bitter, tart, inedible green pulp.
Almond oil (Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis Oil) is extremely well tolerated by the skin, nourishing and non-comedogenic. It is particularly suitable for sensitive, very dry and irritated skin with redness. Valuable unsaturated linoleic acid (Omega 6) strengthens the skin barrier, improves moisture retention and smoothes the skin. The high proportion of oleic acid (Omega 9) ensures that almond oil is absorbed deep into the skin, keeping it soft and supple. Antioxidant vitamins A and E regenerate and counteract cell damage caused by free radicals. Almond oil has an anti-inflammatory effect. It soothes irritated skin to relieve eczema and psoriasis symptoms.
