Rosewood (Aniba Rosaeodora / Dalbergia Sissoo) - controlled organic cultivation
The sensually rose-like scented Brazilian rosewood tree (Aniba Rosaeodora) belongs to the laurel family. The evergreen tree is native to the tropical rainforests of South America. The extraction of the coveted rosewood oil has come under increasing criticism in recent years. The rosewood tree is now one of the endangered tree species and is classified as "critically endangered" in the Red List of the International Union for Conservation of Nature.
That's why we use the essential oil of the Indian rosewood tree (Dalbergia Sissoo) for our natural perfume, which, with its very similar scent profile, is a good and resource-saving alternative. The essential rosewood oil is obtained by steam distillation of the reddish wood chips.
