Niacinamide - Vitamin B3
Niacinamide is the biologically active form of vitamin B3 – an essential vitamin that plays a central role in all cells of our body. Since the human body can only produce very limited amounts of vitamin B3 itself, it must be obtained largely through the diet. Natural sources include yeast, nuts, chia seeds, lentils, whole grain products, eggs, fish, and green vegetables such as broccoli or Brussels sprouts.
Who is niacinamide suitable for?
A major advantage of niacinamide is its exceptional skin compatibility. Even on sensitive or irritated skin, the active ingredient is generally well tolerated. It particularly benefits:
- People with sensitive skin, redness or rosacea
- People with oily, impure or large-pored skin
- Skin with hyperpigmentation or an uneven complexion
- Mature skin with lack of moisture or loss of elasticity
