Rosemary Antioxidant allergen-free versus Rosemary Oil essential
We are often asked why we use essential rosemary oil as an ingredient in our organic facial care for sensitive combination skin with redness, couperose or rosacea and why we specifically recommend it. After all, it is generally recommended that people with couperose or rosacea avoid ingredients that promote circulation, such as rosemary oil. What misunderstanding is there here?
What is the difference between the well-known essential rosemary oil (INCI: Rosmarinus Officinalis Oil with its declarable allergens limonene, linalool) and our allergen-free organic rosemary antioxidant (INCI: Rosmarinus Officinalis Extract) from CO2 extraction?

Rosemary essential oil
Rosemary essential oil, with its naturally occurring allergenic fragrances, is produced by steam distillation of rosemary branches. It promotes blood circulation in the tissue and irritates sensitive facial skin. -
rosemary antioxidant
In contrast, the allergen-free rosemary antioxidant is obtained through an innovative solvent-free extraction method with pure spring carbon dioxide. The organic rosemary antioxidant we use is free of allergens and other volatile components that occur in essential rosemary oil. This creates a natural rosemary extract that - unlike essential rosemary oil - contains NO allergens. The allergen-free rosemary antioxidant is characterized by its high anti-inflammatory effectiveness and optimized skin compatibility for sensitive and problematic skin. It is not only recommended for blemishes and acne, but also especially for reddened skin, couperose or rosacea.
The anti-inflammatory organic rosemary antioxidant powerfully counteracts environmental damage to the skin. Studies have shown that it has a strong anti-oxidative effect against UV radiation. Organic rosemary antioxidant has been proven to reduce redness and micro-inflammations of the tissue caused by UV radiation. With its high content of carnosic acid, it also promotes the detoxification of the skin.
It acts as a radical scavenger to counteract skin aging and stimulates collagen formation in the tissue. As a natural ingredient against hair loss, rosemary promotes healthy hair growth.
