myrto Naturkosmetik sets new standards in research

We are happy to announce great news: myrto has been awarded a 2024 funding prize by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) in cooperation with the Biological-Medical Research Center (BMFS) for our groundbreaking research work!

This prestigious award, which has been presented annually since 2020, recognizes companies whose innovations provide decisive impetus for the life sciences. For us, this award is a significant milestone and a confirmation of our mission to shape the natural cosmetics of the future.

Our research project: Hypoallergenic natural cosmetics without conventional emulsifiers

The focus of our award-winning project was the development of a new generation of natural cosmetic products that do not contain any traditional emulsifiers. Our goal: maximum skin compatibility, stability and long-term support of a healthy skin microbiome.

We have achieved a real breakthrough with an innovative emulsification technology in which we replace classic emulsifiers with finely ground plant fibers. This technology avoids the skin-stressing side effects of conventional emulsifiers and relies on purely biological quality.

Innovative emulsification technology

Our approach completely avoids chemical emulsifiers, fatty alcohols or emulsifiers based on esterified fatty acids - substances that can be found in almost all natural cosmetics. Instead, we use purely plant-based fibers that offer a variety of benefits:

• Strengthening the skin barrier
• Promoting a healthy skin microbiome
• Improving the skin's own defenses against harmful environmental influences
• Highest tolerability, even for highly sensitive skin

Skin compatibility redefined

Our products have been specially developed for sensitive skin - even for challenges such as neurodermatitis or other skin diseases. The focus is on strengthening the skin barrier, preventing inflammation and supporting the skin's natural self-healing powers.

Thanks to the use of plant fibers and additional natural active ingredients, our products not only offer long-lasting care, but also activate the skin's ability to regenerate. The pleasant textures ensure a pleasant skin feeling, are economical in use and make a real contribution to the health of the skin.
