hyaluronic acid
Hyaluronic acid (sodium hyaluronate)
Hyaluronic acid binds moisture strongly, hydrates the skin and stimulates the formation of elastic collagen fibers. Hyaluronic acid helps to slow down the skin's aging process. From a chemical point of view, hyaluronic acid is a polysaccharide. It is a substance produced by the body that occurs naturally in the spaces between cells in our skin, as well as in the joints, eyes or cartilage tissue, for example. Unfortunately, the natural hyaluronic acid content in our body decreases with age. The natural cosmetic hyaluronic acid we use is very well tolerated by the skin and is suitable for all skin types and all ages. It is 100% plant-based and is produced by wheat fermentation.
A good hyaluronic serum contains different molecular sizes. The high molecular hyaluronic acid stays on the surface of the skin and forms a very thin protective film that reduces moisture loss and smoothes and tightens the skin in the short term. In contrast, low molecular and oligo- or ultra-low molecular hyaluronic acid penetrates into the deeper layers of the skin and replenishes the moisture reserves. It has a longer-term effect. In order to achieve all the positive effects, it is recommended to combine different hyaluronic molecule sizes. The combination of high, low and ultra-low molecular or oligo-hyaluronic acid used in myrto is particularly well tolerated by the skin. It tightens and firms the skin, makes it appear optically smoother and softer, moisturizes and plumps up small wrinkles.
