Detergent Amino Acids (Sodium / Disodium Cocoyl Glutamate)
Detergent amino acids are ultra-mild surfactants of the highest quality that we use in maximum concentration as the basis for all myrto organic shampoos. The L-glutamine amino acid contained in them is an important prerequisite for the skin's own protein synthesis. As a reminder: human hair consists of 90% keratin, a natural protein that our body produces itself. The L-glutamine amino acid ensures very good skin and mucous membrane compatibility in combination with improved elasticity and resilience of the hair. Detergent amino acids have been proven to counteract moisture loss in the skin. They form a fine, particularly pleasant, small-pored foam. Detergent-active amino acids are completely biodegradable in water within 4 weeks. They therefore make an exemplary contribution to water protection.
Detergent amino acids are made from fermented sugar, coconut oil and plant-based amino acids. They support moisture retention, stabilize the skin's own acid protection and strengthen the scalp's lipid-containing barrier layer. Unfortunately, detergent amino acids are many times more expensive than other natural cosmetic surfactants, so most natural cosmetic manufacturers only use them in low concentrations.
