benzoin resin
Benzoin resin (Styrax tonkinensis) - controlled organic cultivation
The benzoin tree, which can grow up to 20 meters tall, is native to Laos, Malaysia, Vietnam and Thailand. Its trunk contains a fragrant resin whose scent is similar to human pheromones. The essential oil obtained from it through alcoholic extraction is a resinoid.
Benzoin, with its long-lasting, pleasantly soft and sensual vanilla scent, helps you to become more relaxed in times of stress and hecticness. It conveys a sense of security and therefore also has an anxiety-relieving and antidepressant effect. The essential oil has a physically calming, antibacterial and antispasmodic effect. Benzoin is used externally for inflammatory skin problems as well as for coughs and bronchitis.
