Jojoba oil (Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil) - Controlled organic cultivation
The jojoba bush (Simmondsia Chinensis) is an evergreen, gnarled desert shrub up to 4m high that lives up to 200 years. It is originally native to the Sonoran Desert area in California, Mexico and Arizona. The indigenous peoples living there traditionally used the capsule fruits, which are filled with olive-shaped, brown, wrinkled seeds. They roasted and boiled the seeds to extract the liquid wax. They processed it into medicines and food. Our native, golden yellow jojoba oil from first cold pressing comes from Peru. There, the ecological cultivation of jojoba protects the soil from erosion and creates a favorable microclimate in dry, hot areas with minimal rainfall. The jojoba plant, with its taproots up to 6 m deep, is extremely resilient and tolerates temperatures between zero and 47 degrees.
After harvesting, the jojoba seeds contain around 50% very high-quality plant wax, which is liquid at room temperature and is therefore usually referred to as oil. Jojoba oil is characterized by its special fatty acid spectrum with high proportions of vitamin E, provitamin A, gadoleic acid and erucaic acid. Vitamin E protects the skin prevents premature aging and provides it with plenty of moisture. Provitamin A supports skin renewal and ensures healthy, smooth skin. Gadolein inserts Like erucic acid, acid is one of the polyunsaturated fatty acids and makes up the majority of jojoba oil. It is an omega-9 fatty acid, provides a lot of moisture, keeps the skin elastic and promotes the regeneration of skin cells. Jojoba oil is absorbed particularly quickly and well by the skin, as it is very similar to the natural skin sebum composition.
Jojoba oil is very stable to oxidation and contains a natural sun protection factor of 3 to 4. It has anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and antimicrobial properties. Jojoba is known for its calming and healing effects. For oily skin prone to impurities, it regulates sebum production. Jojoba oil penetrates deep into the skin without leaving the skin feeling greasy. It provides long-lasting protection against moisture loss and improves the elasticity of the skin.
